HISIMDAS

Energy-efficient (eco) driving advice for train drivers.

HISIMDAS is the Android app of the Hi-SimDAS driver advisory system. It works together with the Hi-SimTrain server: the server computes the driving profile, and the app shows it as advice to the driver on a phone or tablet in the train.

What it does

• Eco-driving advice

  Shows, throughout the trip, the recommended speed profile and the coasting points that the Hi-SimTrain server computes for the line, the train and the timetable.

• Train position on the line

  Estimates the train's position and speed on the line from the device's GNSS receiver and motion sensors, and matches it to the track geometry.

• Trip records

  Records position and acceleration during the trip and shows a summary when the trip ends. The record is uploaded to the Hi-SimTrain server for the operator's eco-driving evaluation and reports; the operator can switch this upload off.

Who it is for

The app is for enterprise use by railway operators, not for personal use. You sign in with a user account set up by your operator.

Platform

Runs on Android phones and tablets. The interface is in Turkish and English.
